Position - Business Development Manager

Employment Type - Full Time

Territory - AL, MS, CT, DE, GA, ME, MD, MA, NH, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, RI, SC, VT, VA, WV, KY, TN, FL.

Travel Percentage - Up to 40%

Overview - This is primarily a sales role, with responsibilities including scheduling appointments, meeting one-on-one with Fire and EMS departments, managing ongoing customer relationships, and managing independent reps within the territory. Other job functions include identifying and nurturing new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and product development opportunities. The candidate will work from home when not traveling.

 

Responsibilities

  • Travel as needed to meet with key accounts within the designated territory

  • Travel as needed to represent Binder Lift at various trade-shows, conferences, and expos - including occasional weekends.

  • Execute the necessary daily activities as set forth by management, including phone calls and emails at a high quality to meet your monthly goals

  • Leverage all contacts to identify other prospects through referrals

  • Track all activity thoroughly in our CRM system to support account and management teams, validate activity and lead qualification 

  • Reach out to and follow up with respondents from a variety of marketing programs to initiate conversation and guide customers through Binder Lift's sales process.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience conducting business and building relationships in phone & email, with excellent phone, interpersonal, verbal & written capabilities

  • Client-oriented writing skills

  • Experience successfully managing multiple priorities simultaneously, maintaining a high-volume pace with the ability to “switch gears” quickly as the prospecting conversation warrants

  • Over-the-top motivation and creativity to successfully reach prospects and create conversations

  • Comfort recording every activity into our CRM system

  • Professional persistence & ability to “think on your feet” and make a compelling introduction

  • Organizational skills and a results-oriented self-starter attitude

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals

  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications

 

Requirements

  • Ability to pass a background check

  • Valid Driver's license

  • Ability to lift and move up to 60lbs

  • Computer literacy

  • Ability to work non-traditional hours if needed

  • Ability to travel overnight up to 40% of the time
